Coming soon from Question Beauty: Wings of Fire and Gold, CrystalMist minis and six new toppers

The next Question Beauty order brings the fifth chapter of the brand’s collectible palette series, a mini set of the CrystalMist shimmer setting sprays and six new mascara topper shades. All of it is coming soon, and every product page is already up, so you can tap Notify Me on any of them to get an email when it lands.

Wings of Fire and Gold is Chapter 5 in Question Beauty’s palette series, and it follows the phoenix: flame, smoke and a rebirth in gold. Ten shades split into two moods. The fire side runs from vivid reds and coral through deep burgundy to molten gold, and the ash side holds smoky greys, taupes and soft neutrals with a sparkle that catches the light. The phoenix on the lid is illustrated by a New Zealand artist.

“Question Beauty have done it again,” said @beautsoup in a first look, counting “10 shades inspired by a phoenix. 5 buttery mattes and 5 multi-chromes.” Vel (@iamthevel) posted a closer look with palette photography and swatches, then put all the shimmers side by side. Karen Harris gave it a minute in her roundup of new releases: “So the color story is beautiful.”

The looks lean straight into the theme. @makeupbysantaa built a phoenix-inspired eye, @rileymarrsss filmed a full “catching fire” tutorial, and @assia_maker posted an eye look with it. @daria.kelman shared swatches and an eye look tutorial.

The CrystalMist mini set is five of Question Beauty’s shimmer setting sprays in 10 ml bottles. Each one sets makeup under a fine veil of shimmer, works on hair and body too, and carries its own fruit scent, from candy strawberry to pineapple. Three of the five shift colour (teal to purple, pink to green and purple to blue), and the other two are warm shimmers in peach and gold.

The brand’s own reel of the full set and its shade and scent carousel show all five.

The mascara topper grows to sixteen shades. The six new ones are Black Diamond, a smoky black packed with silver sparkle; Cranberry Luster, deep cranberry to ruby red; Enchanted Vine, royal purple to emerald; Oceanic Symphony, fuchsia and violet to teal and turquoise; True Holo, a full holographic flash; and Ultraviolet Bouquet, hot pink to violet with flashes of icy blue. Each one layers over mascara with a metal wand.

Cole Robles (@colecealer) on the formula: “It literally looks like liquid metal, and I love this metal applicator too. It makes the application really smooth and really precise.” @mcdrew tried four shades: “never seen anything done like this in so many different colors.”

The new shades are already turning up in looks. @bluestudiosja picked up Enchanted Vine with Bronze Mirage and Jungle Mirage and went for “a bit of whimsy,” and @noorawadbairouti layered True Holo on the lashes: “wow such a fun way to spice up your lashes.” @pursuit.of.makeup shared a three-step method for wearing it: lash primer, black mascara, then the topper straight after.

We also have restocks of Emerald Waters, Frosty Lilac, Jungle Mirage and Pink Opaline in the mascara topper, True Holo in the loose multichrome pigment, and the Gel Primer, the clear tacky base that holds a loose pigment’s shift in place.

Everything ships from BC, with no customs fees for Canadian orders.
